Free Software Predicts Product Life

Oct. 1, 1999

This firm's web-based software tool determines the temperature/humidity chamber time required to predict expected life span based on electromigration and electrochemical failure of the circuit and component materials due to fluxes and other process contaminants. The calculator uses the Arrhenius equation for predicting chemical rates of reaction to project the accelerated test time and temperature/humidity needed to project anticipated product life. The firm offers a range of lab services for electronics packaging and assembly.
