Tiny SMT Tactile Switch Has Long Operational Life

Nov. 1, 1999

Long-life rated at more than 100,000 electrical and mechanical operations, the ultra-miniature Series CB3 tactile switch measures only 6 mm x 6 mm and can be used in any number of applications where saving space and increasing reliability are priorities. The sealed-body construction for the surface-mount switch prevents contaminants from compromising switch functionality. The switch is also completely washable and, as a result, is process-compatible with infrared reflow or convection soldering methods.Designed to provide exceptional durability and long-life operation, the Model CB3 switch is available in a momentary action, single-pole/single-throw circuit configuration and is rated for logic level applications at 50 mA at 24 vdc. Tape-and-reel packaging is available.
