Mixed-Signal IC Supports Analog & Digital Interfaces

Nov. 1, 1999

Incorporating both analog and digital circuitry, the gmB135 is a mixed-signal chip designed to simplify LCD monitor design, reduce costs and output XGA/SXGA resolutions. The device offers an a/d converter and includes support for both analog and dual monitor interfaces. Other key features include: integrated 135-MHz triple ADC; internal PLL; superb scaling quality; multiple video format input support; integrated, and an RAM-based OSD controller. Additional features include video de-interlacing capabilities, plus a four-wire serial interface to the monitor's microcontroller for simple system implementations. The chip is housed in a standard 292-pin PBGA package.
