System-On-Chip Integrates MUX, Amplifier And A/D Converter

Dec. 1, 1999

The CS553x family of devices incorporates the firm’s Crystal MultiPath amplifier core. The core’s architecture results in the world’s lowest noise level (6 nV/rtHz at 0.1 Hz) and highest resolution (up to 23 bits of true noise-free measurement performance). The highly integrated devices are suited for precision measurement applications requiring a sample rate of up to 4 kHz in markets such as process control and medical instrumentation. The chips are said to streamline the design of data-acquisition systems by integrating the multiplexer, amplifier and a/d converter on a single chip.
