Rugged Switch Is Hermetically Sealed

Jan. 1, 2000

The hermetically-sealed 6600 Series switch is designed for harsh environments where the extended hermetic seal integrity of the switch is critical. By using a nickel bellows actuator inside the switch, the switch’s hermetic cycle and useful life has been increased by a factor of 20, from 25,000 cycles to 50,000 cycles. Hermetic sealing is maintained to MIL-S-8805. The corrosion resistant housing withstands most media and allows exposure of the switch to fluids such as synthetic hydraulic oils and jets fuels. The switch operates below 5 mA at 28 vdc and over a 65°F to 400°F temperature range.
