Connector Extends Ethernet To Factory Floor

Feb. 1, 2000

Built to withstand the rigors of plant and factory environments, the Industrial Ethernet female connector is backward compatible with off-the-shelf RJ-45 cables. When mated to the company's Industrial Ethernet male connector, the result is an IP67-sealed connection with enhanced mechanical strength. Both shielded and unshielded applications are supported. The design lets OEMs manufacture products compatible with legacy and industrial Ethernet-cable components.
