Transformer Tester Offers Many Functions

March 1, 2000

The WP-5200 universal transformer and wound-product tester incorporates many of the most frequently performed low-voltage, high-frequency production-line tests into a single instrument. Standard LCR tests include inductance, capacitance, impedance, ac/dc resistance, phase angle, polarity, and quality-factor analysis.
Other features include testing of frequency up to 200 kHz, a basic accuracy of ±0.5%, a menu-driven keypad, prominent pass/fail indicators, and easy-to-view on-screen statistical reports. The instrument includes a 20-node Kelvin switching matrix and fixture that minimize interconnection errors and maximize test speed and throughput. Up to 10 tests per second can be performed, with total test times for typical parts taking less than two seconds.
