Right-Angle Connectors Mount To SureFlex Cables

May 1, 2000

Factory-installed, right-angle connectors for firm's proprietary SureFlex cable assemblies provide the electrical performance of straight connectors with the mechanical advantage of right-angle connectors. The SureFlex 1/2" cable assemblies with right-angle connectors provide a return loss of 28 dB or better up to 2.5 GHz. Wireless RF designers can use these assemblies to negotiate tight turns in enclosed spaces such as radio cabinets. Other right-angle connectors have inner pins made up to two segments that must be screwed or soldered at the right-angle interface making the connector susceptible to intermodulation and signal reflection. This new connector has a continuously swept pin with no hard right angles. These connector cables are available for 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" HELIAX Superflexible foam dielectric cable.
