Connectors Are Waterproof

May 1, 2000

For waterproof, submersible applications, Hydrocon connectors are IP68 rated products offered in standard, heavy duty and mini series. The standard series has 2 to 25 poles and range from 10A at 25V to 1A at 50V. Three types of contacts are crimp/solder contacts, screw terminals and BNC connectors in 50 ohm and 75 ohm versions. The heavy-duty series comes with 2, 3, 4 or 5 poles rated at 32A per contact at 600V with screw terminations and first ground position. The mini series comes with 3 to 8 poles rated at 3A to 10A at 250V in three contact styles. The Hydrocon sealed connectors accommodate in-line chassis mount and through-panel applications. The durable cylindrical connectors are molded in black glass-filled Nylon UL94HB and contacts are brass-copper alloy with tin, nickel, silver or gold plating. Price is approximately $1.75 per mated line.
