Multi-Axis System Suits Pick-And-Place Apps

June 1, 2000

Reportedly suitable for various electronic component manufacturing operations, the MicroStage Multi-Axis System is Class 10 clean-room certified for pharmaceutical and medical-device assembly, packaging and pick-and-place applications. The system is composed of individual linear positioning stages that feature a linear bearing segment design, which is said to provide backlash free, low-friction rolling motion without sacrificing load capacity or smoothness. These aluminum, low-mass systems come in a variety of stroke lengths, sizes and lead-screw arrangement to accommodate a wide range of speeds, orientations and load capacities. The modular design of the system allows it to be configured for diverse uses. A servo-setup kit, comprised of software for Windows, is included.
