µP-Based System Monitor Packs 27 Measurement Channels

Oct. 1, 2000

The ADM1026 thermal and system hardware monitor IC integrates on-chip 19 analog and eight fan-speed measurement channels, 13 general-purpose I/O pins, remote and on-chip temperature sensing circuitry, firmware, and an I2C-compatible system-management bus. Other on-chip integration includes linear and pulse width modulation (PWM) fan controllers.
Designed for higher-end server platforms and hi-rel systems, such as base stations that require remote monitoring, the highly integrated thermal and system monitor chip is fully compatible with the Intel HH5 servers standard. And as an Intel-specified product, the IC is considered to be a PC-industry standard that meets all of the requirements for intelligent platform management interface (IPMI), the desktop management interface (DMI), and the wired for management (WfM) initiative. Pricing is $4.95 each/1,000.
