Front-End Rectifier Module Wears Many Performance Hats

Oct. 1, 2000

The Filter/Autoranging Rectifier Module (FARM) is a component level, ac-input front-end module that provides EMI filtering, autoranging line rectification, transient protection, and inrush current limiting. The FARM is available in either 500W/750W (FARM1C21) or in 750W/1,000W (FARM2C21) models measuring 57.9 x 55.9 x 12.7 mm. The module interfaces directly with worldwide ac mains and can be used with the company's first or second generation, 300V dc/dc converters to realize an autoranging, high density, low-profile switching power supply. Single unit prices for the modules are $69 for the FARM1C21 and $89 for FARM2C21; delivery is from stock.
