IDC DIN Connectors Bring More Signal Paths To Backplanes

The IDC female C and 1/2 C DIN connectors are now available for use with 32- and 64-wire ribbon cable. The 96-pin C-type package flat cable connector is well-suited for use with connector shrouds mounted on the wire-wrap pins of VME backplane C-series connectors as a means of bringing additional signal paths to the backplane. The 96-pin connector has row "a" and "c" loaded for a total of 64 signal pins, and the 1/2 C has row "a" and "c" loaded for a total of 32 signal pins. Current rating is limited by the ribbon cable interface to 1A per pin. Pricing for the connectors begins at $8 each.
