Complete Data Radio Integrated Into Antenna

Appearing to be merely an antenna, The Finger is a patent pending monolithic data radio containing a MAC, baseband processor, RF circuitry including discretes, RF power amp and tuned antenna. It is driven by a flash-based processor with non-volatile EEPROM for storage of user controllable performance parameters including programmable power output. Since the tuned antenna element is always extended away from its host device, the company says The Finger does not suffer the same "shadow effect" that plagues embedded radios. The radio is FCC "Type Certified," which allows OEMs to sell their devices immediately, enhancing time to market. Standard mounting is via a 3/8" hollow stud containing an industry standard connector. Single channel up to 60-channel, 900-MHz ISM Fingers are available.
