Adapter Interfaces Relays To PLCs

April 1, 2001

Claiming to provide a quick cabling solution for connecting a PLC relay to PLC systems, the PLC-V8 plug adapter is also said to reduce installation time by more than 60% compared to other industry solutions. The module is said to eliminate the need for daisy chaining the relays together by using two power connections provided by the module. The connection is made to the PLC via a predefined 14-way ribbon cable with pluggable connectors on both sides. Discrete connections between the relay and the PLC are said to be a thing of the pass. The only discrete wiring necessary is the 24 Vdc power and discrete field connections.
