Voltage References Provide High Linearity

Sept. 1, 2001

Claiming to have the industryÕs best linearity over temperature, the ADR42x family of low-noise, precision voltage references incorporate XFET technology. This proprietary technology promises a five-times better noise performance than a bandgap reference at the same supply current and the lowest noise figure for 5V systems.Four members of the family, the ADR420B, 421B, 423B and 425B, operate on supply voltages of 4V, 4.5V, 5V and 7V, respectively, and each has a noise figure of 1.75 µVp-p and temperature range of -40ûC to +125ûC. Pricing is $2.25 (A-grade) or $5.84 (B-grade) each/5,000. ANALOG DEVICES, INC., Wilmington, MA. (800) 262-5643.
