Cables Meet Broadband Needs

Sept. 1, 2001

Featuring minimal insertion loss and VSWR at frequencies as high as 65 GHz, the UTiFORM , UTiFlex and semi-rigid cable series target systems operating at broadband data rates. All three series have phase matching to 0.5û per GHz and offer PTFE dielectric options. The UTiFORM cables come in diameters ranging from 0.047" to 0.141" with and without FEP jackets. Typical VSWR is 1.55:1 at 30 GHz and insertion loss is 2.5 dB/ft at 30 GHz. Maximum frequency of the UtiFLEX series is 70 GHz with a typical VSWR of 1.45:1 and a typical insertion loss of 1.91 dB/ft. at 70 GHz. The semi-rigid cables also have a maximum frequency of 70 GHz with a typical VSWR of 1.55:1 with a typical insertion loss of 3.5 dB/ft. MICRO-COAX, Pottstown, PA. (800) 223-2629.
