PC/104 Module Delivers High Speed Acquisition

Sept. 1, 2001

Designed for high-speed data-acquisition (DAQ) and control applications, the VCM-DAS-2, analog plus digital PC/104 module provides 16 analog input channels, two analog output channels, and two digital I/O ports in a 3.8" x 3.6" footprint. The 16-bit analog inputs use a 5-ms converter for throughputs up to 100 kHz.Input range for each channel is selectable as either ±5V or ±10V with resolutions of 153 µV or 306 µV, respectively. The 12-bit 0V to 5V or 0V to 10V output channels can drive 2 k½ loads and settle within 5 ms. Calibration of the analog section is via digital potentiometersÑcalibration data is stored in a non-volatile EEPROM. Additional features include two 8-bit, source or sink 24 mA digital I/O ports. Price is $320 each/100. For further information, call Adrian Frost at VERSALOGIC CORP., Eugene, OR. (541) 485-8575
