Connectors Withstand Rough Field Conditions

Oct. 1, 2001

The YL and EL Series disconnectable, crimp-style connectors are built to withstand tough field usage in appliance applications. The Series YL connectors are rated 10.0 Aac/dc maximum (7.0A when retainers are mounted) at 300 Vac/dc maximum and are available in 1 to 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 16 and 21 positions. Secondary retainers enhance safety in case of partial insertion or accidental release of the contact. The housings feature plastic lances that permit low insertion force and prevent contact back out. An inter-housing lock secures the plug to the receptacle and wire range is from AWG 26 to AWG 16. Operating temperature ranges from -25(C to +90(C and housing material is Nylon 66, rated UL94V-0. The connectors can accommodate panel thicknesses of 0.7 mm to 2.0 mm. J.S.T. CORP., Waukegan, IL. (800) 947-1110.
