Hand-Held Light Sources Deliver Auto Wavelength Switching

Nov. 1, 2001

The GN series hand-held light sources allows users to take loss readings at wavelengths from 850 to 1,300 nm, 1,310 to 1,550 nm, or 1,550 to 1,625 nm via a single push button. The Light Source SeriesÕ wavelength-switching feature is said to eliminate the chance of errors in documentation when measurements are taken at the wrong wavelength. The light sources also promise to be a flexible, low cost solution for point-to-point measurement requirements. They are available in a myriad of configurations to fit most testing requirements.
