24-Bit ADC First To Include Flash Memory On Chip,Simplifies Design Of Low-Power Measurement Applications

Dec. 1, 2001

Debuting as the industryÕs first 24-bit a/d converter with 4 KB of programmable on-chip flash memory, the ADS1218 provides 24 bits of no-missing-code performance and consumes less than 1 mW of power. An on-chip voltage reference is accurate to within 0.2%. Error is less than ±0.0015% of full scaleThe multiplexer front-end supports eight input channels, configurable as differential pairs in any combination. Available in a 48-pin, surface-mount TQFP, price starts at $8.75 each/1,000. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Santa Clarita, CA. (800) 477-8924, ext.4500.
