Design Tools Produce Low-Cost, Single-Chip RF CMOS Devices

Feb. 1, 2002

For the design and production of low-cost, single-chip RF CMOS devices, the RFPro-L, RFXpert and RFWise design tools are said to eliminate the re-design of spiral inductors for various silicon processes. The RFPro-L is an on-chip spiral-inductor modeling and parameter extraction tool. RFXpert provides a 3D full-wave field solver and RFWise is a spiral inductor synthesis tool. RFPro-L and RFXpert are priced at $40,000 and $25,000, respectively, for a one-year license. RFWise, expected to be available in the second quarter, will cost $100,000 for a one-year license.
