MS151 is a two-part silicone adhesive specially formulated for optimal optical bonding. The adhesive combines silicone’s inherent temperature resistance and flexibility with a refractive index of 1.43 and excellent optical clarity. A low viscosity ensures complete fill-in around complicated contours even in very complex configurations. Dielectric strength is 460 V/mil and volume resistivity is 1 × 1015 O-cm. Operating temperature range is ?64°C to 205°C. The adhesive cures at room temperature. MS151 is well-suited for optical potting, casting, and encapsulation applications involving bonding to glass, metals, ceramics, and fiberglass optical systems as well as coating of solar cells and fiber-optic assemblies.
