The AFEM-775x series are fully matched front-end modules (FEMs) that incorporate three power modes—high-power, mid-power, and bypass—in order to minimize power consumption. The modules integrate a power amplifier, duplexer, band-pass filter, and coupler. Additionally, the company’s CoolPAM and Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator technologies improve performance in CDMA cell-band and dual-band handsets. The CoolPAM-V technology eliminates the need for a dc-dc converter. The AFEM-7750 operates from 824 to 894 MHz for transmit mode and from 869 to 894 MHz for receive mode. The AFEM-7758 operates from 1850 to 1910 MHz and from 1930 to 1990 MHz for transmit and receive, respectively. The devices have a 25-dBm linear output at 3.4 V, with a linear operating range of 3.2 to 4.2 V. They are CDMA 2000 1xRTT capable and have a 50-O input and output. The devices come in a 4- by 7- by 1.1-mm SMT package. In quantities of 1000, the AFEM-7750 costs $2.20 and the AFEM-7758 $2.80. AVAGO TECHNOLOGIES, San Jose, CA. (800) 235-0312.
