Wide-Input DC-DC Converters Output Up To 100 W At 48 V

Oct. 8, 2008
The extensive Micro line of 28-V dc-dc converters has expanded further with the addition of eight wide-input models with nominal output voltages of 3.3 to 48 V dc and a maximum power of 50 W at 3.3 and 5 V out and 100 W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, and 48 V

The extensive Micro line of 28-V dc-dc converters has expanded further with the addition of eight wide-input models with nominal output voltages of 3.3 to 48 V dc and a maximum power of 50 W at 3.3 and 5 V out and 100 W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, and 48 V out. These models are well-suited for either 12- or 24-V applications such as MIL-COTS or commercial battery systems in vehicles. Efficiencies range up to 81% with inputs of 9 to 36 V. The converters come in four environmental grades (with operating temperatures as low as ?55°C) with six pin options and three baseplate options. The modules measure 2.28 by 1.45 by 0.5 mm and have a wide trim range of 10% to 110% of nominal output voltage. Prices for the wide-input 28-V Micro modules begin at $102 in 100-piece quantities. Lead time can be as short as three weeks for prototype quantities. VICOR CORP., Andover, MA. (800) 735-6200.
