The RFVC1800 broadband voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is a single-placement IC with integrated resonator and buffer amplifier. It operates from a single +5-V supply for circuit bias and 0 to +13-V tuning voltage for frequency control. The RoHS-compliant, small 4-mm x 4-mm QFN package offers low phase noise and low power consumption. Manufactured with the company's Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT) process, the 8-GHz to 12-GHz RFVC1800 broadband VCO is optimized for use in radar, military communications, satellite communications, test instrumentation, and industrial/medical applications. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Samples of the RFVC1800 VCO are available immediately. RF MICRO DEVICES INC., Greensboro, N.C. (336) 678-5570.
