MEAN WELL BIC-5K Series Power Supply
MEAN WELL’s BIC-5K Series is a 5,000 W bidirectional AC/DC power supply designed to support advanced energy storage, battery testing, and grid-interactive systems. Engineered for high-efficiency energy conversion, the BIC-5K enables seamless transition between AC-to-DC battery charging and DC-to-AC energy recovery, allowing stored energy to be fed back into the grid. This bidirectional capability helps enterprises improve energy utilization, reduce electricity costs, and lower carbon emissions.
Featuring a fully digital control architecture with efficiency up to 93.5%, the BIC-5K provides fast bidirectional switching in less than 1 ms to ensure uninterrupted energy flow. The unit supports parallel operation up to 30 kW (5+1 units) and can be configured for three-phase systems, offering scalable deployment for higher power requirements. Integrated CANBus or MODBus communication interfaces enable real-time monitoring and system integration, while comprehensive protection mechanisms ensure safe and stable operation in demanding industrial environments.
Certified to major international safety and grid standards, the BIC-5K Series is optimized for next-generation energy systems requiring reliable bidirectional power conversion.
