Offered as a new version of the company's specifically engineered ceramic capacitors, the new components are capable of withstanding lightning pulses up to 150 kV and proof voltages of 40 kVac. New dielectric and novel termination techniques, it is claimed, enable these isolation capacitors to provide coupling between high-voltage transmission lines and low-voltage communications equipment. Basic operational parameters of these devices are a voltage rating of 25 kVac, a dielectric-withstand voltage of 78 kVdc for 15 minutes, capacitance values from 1 nF and up, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
