Superior filtering characteristics and an ability to withstand transient voltages and surges are expected to help propel a new series of three-terminal ceramic chip capacitors into a broad range of applications, including in telecomm, computer and peripheral, automotive, and industrial products. The filter chips come in 1806, 1205 and 0805 package sizes, have 25, 50 and 100 vdc voltage ratings, and span capacitance values of from 22 to 47,000 pF (2A rated devices are available). These non-polar ceramic chip capacitors are said to offer exceptional solderability and resistance to solder heat and come packaged in tape-and-reels or bulk.
