Film Caps Provide 100k Hours Of Operation

Nov. 29, 2010
Groomed for dc filtering, the FFLI Series power film capacitor has a life expectancy of 100,000 hours and employs controlled self healing where end-of-life is defined as the time taken for the capacitance to lose about 5% of its nominal value.

Groomed for dc filtering, the FFLI Series power film capacitor has a life expectancy of 100,000 hours and employs controlled self healing where end-of-life is defined as the time taken for the capacitance to lose about 5% of its nominal value. The components specify capacitance and voltage ratings up to 3,000 μF and 1,900 Vdc/100 Arms, respectively, and can operate in temperatures up to +95ºC. Qualified to IEC 61071 for power electronic capacitors, the FFLI Series also meets IEC 60068-1 environmental testing requirements and IEC 61373 shock and vibration tests. AVX CORP., Fountain Inn, SC.
