A pair of surface-mount inductors measuring just 3.8 mm x 6.35 mm with an overall height of just 1.19 mm is said to be the first such sized components capable of handling up to 500 mA. The ILS-2515 inductors have a rated Q of up to 55 at 7 MHz. They are available in 4.7 µH (ILS-2515-01) and 10 µH versions with respective dc resistances of 0.58 ohm and 0.96 ohm. Both devices have a tolerance of ±20%. Other features include a monolithic ferrite construction, self-shielding, and terminals designed for maximum trace EMI. The high-current inductors come packaged in tape-and-reel form, with samples and production quantities available now. Delivery time is four to six weeks for larger orders.
