The company’s new low-profile, high-current inductors include the IHLP-2525EZ-05 with an inductance range of 0.1 µH to 2.2 µH and the IHLP-2525EZ-01 with an inductance range of 3.3 µH to 10 µH. Possessing the lowest DCR/µH for their respective package sizes, the IHLP inductors serve as high-performing, space- and power-saving solutions for voltage regulator module and dc/dc converter applications in end products. Applications include next-generation mobile devices; notebooks, desktop computers and servers; automotive systems; low profile, high-current power supplies and point of load converters; distributed power systems; and field programmable gate arrays. Each inductor measures 0.225" x 0.270" with a maximum height profile of 0.197". Both occupy the standard 2525 footprint shared by lower-profile IHLP devices while providing higher rated current and lower DCR values. The new devices are specified for saturation currents ranging from 10A to 70A, typical DCR values ranging from 0.81 mΩ to 53.3 mΩ, and maximum DCR values ranging from 0.93 mΩ to 56 mΩ. The inductors are designed to handle high transient current spikes without saturation and operate over a frequency range up to 5 MHz.
