Size reductions of up to 40% are said to be available in the G-Force line of power capacitors though the use of Mosaic films, which offers a higher performance capacitor alternative for smaller size requirements. The Moasic films design allow for higher capacitance per material volume, it's claimed, thus reducing the amount of film used and resulting in a much smaller capacitor. Also, these caps provide an efficient clearing or self-healing process. Shorts are isolated and removed from the electrical network on a smaller scale then traditional films. Samples are available.
