Eliminating the need for multiple parts or more expensive configurations, the MG series high-voltage, metal-glaze axial-lead resistors feature small size and both high voltage and resistance values. The components provide voltage specs of 1.6 kV, 2 kV, and 3.5 kV and power ratings of 0.25W, 0.5W, 1W, and 2W with tolerances to 1% and temperature coefficients of 200 ppm. These voltage levels are said to be two-to-three times greater than the highest working voltage of standard or pulse-rated leaded resistors. Accordingly, a single MG resistor can replace two or three other resistors, reducing total manufacturing cost while also cutting the size and weight of the end product.
