Designed for use as a non-contact mechanical potentiometer for motion control applications, the MDRM magnetic sensor features a mechanical rotation range of ±80° and generates a linear voltage signal at its output. The sensor is magnetically controlled by a small rotor positioned in front of the active sensing face and operates with a 5 Vdc supply voltage.
Suitable for use in harsh environments and where installation space is restricted, the device is IP 67 protected and can operate at temperatures ranging from -20°C to 85°C. The sensor measures 18 mm in diameter and 30 mm long and has no moving parts. And as the sensor has no moving parts and is fully sealed, it is neither subject to wear nor affected by contaminants, such as dust, water, oil, and other environmental concerns.
