Combining an ultra-thin, 500-µm thickness with excellent electrical insulation, the TF series of thin-film negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistors is designed to fit applications having tight space constraints. The series is especially advantageous for use, the company says, where mounting could contact the electrodes. In addition, the thermistors offer a fast response time, are elastic, and solder easily. Available tolerances include ±1°C, ±3°C and ±5°C. Dissipation constant is 0.7 mW/°C in still air, and thermal time constant is 5 seconds. Maximum power rating is 3.5 mW at 25°C. Rated zero-power resistance value at 25°C is 10,000W. The TF series thermistors come in lengths of 15, 25 and 50 mm and are priced from $0.24 to $0.60 each in production quantities.
