With no heatsink required, the PowerQor series of isolated dc-to-dc converters now delivers up to 40A of output current. Full-load efficiencies range from 89% for 3.3V output types to 82% for 1.5V units. The 48V-input converters are said to dissipate less heat than competitive products, making them easier to keep cool.In addition to saving horizontal space by virtue of their standard half-brick format, the units’ elimination of a heatsink and baseplate provides an exceptionally low 0.4" profile to reduce card-to-card pitches. They offer an expanded output voltage trim-up range of +20% to compensate for distribution resistive drops. Output voltages include 3.3V, 2.5V, 2V, 1.8V and 1.5V.
