Capable of being configured for countless output-voltage combinations, the FX Chassis power supply is capable of delivering 1 kW at low line and 1.2 kW at high line. When stacked together, the unit doubles its output power. Configuration is by way of plug-in modules that provide a maximum of 12 floating outputs between 1.9 and 150 Vdc. Outputs can be configured in either series or parallel, with the parallel connection providing active current sharing. Outputs are adjustable by ±5% and have a maximum ripple and noise of 50 mV or 1% peak-to-peak, whichever is greater. Line regulation is typically 0.1% and load regulation is 1% maximum for single-output modules and 2% for dual- or triple-output modules. Other features include a universal 90 to 264 Vac input with active power factor correction, 5V standby, over-voltage protection at 115% to 130% of nominal, and over-load protection that operates at 140% of nominal rating. Pricing starts at $425 each/1,000. XPIQ INC., Holliston, MA. (508) 429-9883.
