Consisting of over twenty 25W and 35Wdc/dc converters, the 5E series includes models with input voltage ranges of 9 to 18, 18 to 36, and 36 to 72 Vdc. The dc/dc converters are available with single, dual and triple low-ripple, regulated outputs. For standby power conservation, a CMOS/TTL-compatible remote on/off controls the converter output to be turned on or off as necessary. Single output devices in the series have an external output trim control to set the output voltage precisely within a ±10% adjustment range. Other features include continuous short circuit protection, an operating temperature range of -25°C to 71°C without the need for a heatsink or external cooling. And through use of high, 200-kHz switching frequencies, efficiencies up to 84% are available. All devices in the series have black-coated, six-sided shielding with an insulated bottom and come in a 3" x 2.56" x 0.83" case. Depending on the output configuration, price ranges from $40 to $45 each/100 with typical delivery times from four to six weeks.
