The compact (2 by 2 by 0.4 in.) JCK60 series dc-dc converter offers 37.5-W-per-cubic-inch power density in a convection-cooled design. The single-output JCK60, developed by XP Power, accommodates a 2:1 input voltage range, and includes undervoltage lockout. Series models come with either a 24-V dc (18 to 36 V dc) or 48-V dc (36 to 75 V dc) nominal input; output voltages include 3.3, 5, 12, or 15 V dc. An output trim function allows for output-voltage adjustment of ±10%. Remote sense compensates for drops in voltage at the load. Operating temperature ranges from -40 to 85°C; full output power is available up to +40°C without derating. A remote on/off input, which provides external output control, can be used to sequence startup procedures. Overvoltage, overload, and continuous short-circuit protection come standard.
