Ready for demanding military applications, the CWCES 3U OpenVPX (VITA 62) and VPX (VITA 48.2) smart power supply module provides up to 279W of power. It includes features such as a nuclear event detector and crowbar for radiation tolerant applications and holdup circuitry for full protection against MIL-STD-704 and MILSTD-1275 transients. Available in conduction cooled and Level 2 maintenance versions, the supply supports built-in tests (BIT) and software programmability. Other features include 80% efficiency, an 18 to 36 Vdc input range, meets NAVSO P-3641 de-rating, internal holdup up to 50 ms, an EMI/RFI input filter (MIL-STD-461E), input transient protection, input reverse polarity protection, over-/under-voltage, short-circuit and under/over temperature protection, White Sand Missile Range tested nuclear event circumvention circuit, an ARM-based microcontroller, and custom power sequencing.
