A new family of non-isolated, surface-mount, dc-dc converters, developed by TDK-Lambda Americas, features high-power densities, no external tuning components, and edge-plated castellation (EPC) pads for easy solder joint inspections
A new family of non-isolated, surface-mount, dc-dc converters, developed by TDK-Lambda Americas, features high-power densities, no external tuning components, and edge-plated castellation (EPC) pads for easy solder joint inspections. The models comply with the second-generation Distributed Power Open Standards Alliance (DOSA) standards for point-of-load (PoL) converters. The DOSA-2 line consists of four series with output/current ratings of 3 A/16.5 W, 6 A/ 33W, 12 A/66 W, and 20 A/110 W. All operate with an input voltage range of 4.5 to 14 V, and have adjustable output voltages from 0.7 to 5.5 V with conversions efficiencies up to 97%. Transient response is excellent thanks to fully optimized control loops. The devices will find homes in harsh telecom/broadcast mast-mounted applications, as well as in industrial, test and measurement, and medical equipment. TDK-LAMBDA AMERICAS
