By employing a mix of component mounting methods, progressive barrierless transformers, and higher switching frequencies, the SSG Series of switching power supplies has reportedly been made smaller and more efficient and reliable than previous generations of these single-output 5W to 150W switchers. Efficiencies range from 68% for the 5W switcher to 79% to 86% for 150W units, with the frequency range for the switchers extending from 47 to 440 Hz. Size runs from 50 x 65 x 18 mm to 93 x 177 x 57 mm.The series includes 5W, 10W, 15W, 30W, 50W, 100W and 150W models, with all but the 10W units having a 100 to 120 vac rated input voltage range- the 10W models are rated at 100 to 240 vac. All but the 5W unit offers outputs of 5V, 12V, 15V, or 24V- the 5W unit only comes with a 5V output. All models are UL and CSA approved and are designed to meet FCC Class B specs.
