The 50-A NP2500 interchangeable rectifier operates as an integral part of a complete 48-V distributed power system that supports optical routing and switching, data storage, enterprise networks, and broadband and telecom applications. The NP2500 rectifier increases the current output up to 150 A per shelf. The flexible, scalable NP family comes equipped with common components in a wide range of power levels. It can be used with multiple programs, reducing the number of power supplies and shelves. The NP system accommodates any rectifier in the NP family for easy expansion. The NP2500 acts as another interchangeable building block, letting customers configure a power system to meet their system's constraints. Options include programmable output voltages, unique faceplate colors, and a variety of communications protocols. With a power density of 8 W/in.3, the NP2500 creates a 7500-W system in only 3U of rack space. The unit measures just 5.75 by 10.77 by 5.25 in. The NP shelf, which is 19 by 12 by 3.5 in., will hold three rectifiers of any power level. Customers can parallel up to four NP shelves. The NP rectifiers are NEBS certified (GR-63-CORE) and are rated for CISPR Class B electromagnetic-interference (EMI) protection. Available immediately, the NP2500 costs $580 in 1000-unit quantities.
