The HV66 is a 32-channel, high-voltage driver IC with a separate backplane output. The chip has a maximum output voltage of 32V and each of its 32 push-pull output channels has a source and sink capability of 1 mA. The additional backplane output has a source and sink current capability of 10 mA maximum. The device's 5V logic operates at a clock frequency of 5 MHz and consists of a 32-bit shift register and 32 latches. A direction pin causes data shifting counterclockwise when grounded and clockwise when connected to the supply voltage. A data output buffer is provided for cascading multiple devices.
