The 60 V TPS54360 and the 42 V TPS54340 from TI are Eco-Mode SWIFT 3.5 A step-down dc/dc converters with an integrated high-side 92 mΩ MOSFET providing high efficiency at high currents, and boasting an industry-leading reference accuracy of 1%. Optimized for flexible, high-power and space-sensitive situations, the buck regulators operate over a wide input voltage range and an extended temperature range of -40 to 150°C for high-performance industrial, consumer, computing, communication and automotive applications. Low dropout operating mode approaching 100% duty cycle minimizes input to output voltage drop. Using these new products together with the company's WEBENCH online design tool can aid and speed the design process. The family also includes the 0.5 A, 42 V TPS54040A and 1.5 A, 60 V TPS54160A that feature precision enable threshold for adjustable under voltage lockout. Available now in an 8-pin SOIC PowerPAD package, the TPS54360 is priced at $2.10 each/1,000 and the TPS54340 is $1.75 each/1,000.
