Coming in the industry-standard 3.0- by 5.0-in. footprint, the R65 power-supply unit (PSU) boosts thermal performance by 30% for more reliable operation for today's smaller packages. Significantly, it can operate at full loads to 60°C, compared with the 40°C to 45°C performance of others in its class. It also features a universal autoranging input voltage from 90 to 265 V ac. The unit fully complies with industrial and commercial electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) standards. It's available in five versions, with output ratings from 5 to 48 V and continuous output power of 65 W. Current ranges from 1.35 to 12 A. Available off-the-shelf, the R65 PSU costs about $35 in 100-piece quantities.
