A series of Schottky rectifiers, housed in SMA, SMB, and SMC packages, can handle higher currents in less space than competitive devices. The SMA-packaged device handles 2 A or 3 A compared with the industry-standard value of 1 A. Likewise, the SMB- and SMC-packaged rectifiers handle 4 A or 5 A, respectively, versus industry-standard values of 2 A and 3 A. The SSA23L through SSC54 rectifiers cost from $0.05 to $0.12 each in lots of 10,000 and are available now.
