From Automotive to IIoT—ON Semi’s Demos Run the Gamut

Nov. 8, 2016
At electronica 2016, ON Semiconductor will host a series of demonstrations—16 in all—of products targeting automotive, IoT, wearables, and motor control.

Demonstrations of ON Semiconductor’s latest products and technology developments at electronica 2016 tap into four popular industry sectors: automotive, the Internet of Things (IoT), motor control, and wearables. Overall, the company will present 16 live demos.

For automotive, ON Semi’s innovations in active (ADAS) safety, LED lighting, motor control, vehicle connectivity, and vehicle electrification will be on display. The products also were developed with an eye on semi- and fully autonomous vehicles.

For the IoT and industrial IoT (IIoT), the company offers image sensors, smart passive sensors, and 2.4- and sub-1-GHz transceivers that target critical IoT areas such as overall sensing, wireless communications, embedded control, motor drive, power management. Also in the IoT sphere is the wearables market—ON Semiconductor will exhibit multiple solutions for applications ranging from hearing aids to smartwatches to augmented- and virtual-reality headwear.

In terms of motor control, an array of products will be on hand, from integrated power modules and controllers to power devices that provide complete motor control in consumer appliances, as well as those for the industrial and automotive industries. Solutions also extend to drones and robotics.
