Claiming to be the first backup-battery reset ICs in SOT packages, the MAX6361/6363/6364 ICs monitor supply rails from 2.5 V to 5 V. Featuring a 2.5% reset threshold accuracy over temperature, these devices automatically switch RAM to backup power

Claiming to be the first backup-battery reset ICs in SOT packages, the MAX6361/6363/6364 ICs monitor supply rails from 2.5 V to 5 V. Featuring a 2.5% reset threshold accuracy over temperature, these devices automatically switch RAM to backup power when Vcc falls below the reset threshold. Whenever the supply voltage declines below its threshold, a reset signal is asserted and maintained for at least 150 ms after Vcc returns above the reset threshold. Other features of these devices include a manual reset input on the MAX6361, a battery-on indicator with the MAX6363, and an auxiliary user-adjustable reset input on the MAX 6364. All three devices are claimed to consume only 10 µA and their reset outputs are guaranteed valid to 1 V. Prices start at $1.50 each/2,500 minimum.
